Galilee Adult Fellowship (GAF)
Galilee Adults’ Fellowship started on 20th April 1972 in the home of Elder and Mrs Heng Mui Kiah with the motto: “Enriched In Christ, Effective For Christ”. The AF logo depicts our spiritual journey as a disciple of Christ and with Christ in our vessel we can smile at the storm!
Our Purpose
Enriched In Christ
- Encourage GAF’ers to discover and develop their gifts/talents to serve God mightily wherever He leads them to.
- Equipping GAF’ers with the knowledge & practical skills and providing avenues for them to be of service to God.
- Providing avenues for personal growth and development to encourage GAF’ers to reach their individual unique potential spiritually, mentally, emotionally and socially.
- Encourage GAF’ers to live sanctified lives and to serve alongside each other as disciples of Christ till He returns.
Effective For Christ
- Encourage GAF’ers to restore their joy in the Lord and deepen their personal walk with God.
- Nourish and strengthen GAF’ers spiritually to deal with life’s issues and challenges through God’s Word.
- Rally and support GAF’ers to draw closer and to know Christ better by reading and studying God’s Word together.
- Foster and provide opportunities for mutual Christian love, support, prayer and fellowship to build each other up in the Lord.
We meet once a month on the 2nd Saturday from 4pm to about 6pm in church or at the homes of our members and friends.
We also connect with our members and friends digitally to edify and encourage them to walk closely with the Lord despite their busy work and family lives.
Periodic activities like training workshops or seminars will be organized from time to time on the 3rd Saturday of the month in areas like Christian growth, Leadership Skills, Life Issues & Challenges, etc, to nourish & strengthen GAF’ers spiritually in the Lord and to equip them practically for the Lord’s service.
Combined Fellowship Activities to foster inter-generational relationships among the TF/YF, YAF, GAF and GEM are held about twice a year during CNY and around the month of October/November.
Last but not least, our favourite event of the year is our GAF Family Retreat where GAF’ers and their extended families are invited to join us for a time of fellowship, fun and Christian bonding as we unwind to R&R; Relax and Reflect on God’s blessings and goodness towards us throughout the year and Relax together as God’s Family.
Join us on the 2nd Saturdays of the month. We usually meet in the Kindergarten Music Room at Level 1 at 4pm. Alternatively, look out for our meeting details printed in the church’s weekly Sunday Bulletin or from posters on our GAF Notice Board located near the church kitchen.
